I'D LIKE TO PARTICIPATE, BUT I DO NOT HAVE AN OFFICIAL HANDICAP. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Any amateur player without an official handicap may participate, but they will be assigned to the first flight to compete against the most skilled golfers. If their performance is deemed inconsistent with this skill level by the Tournament Committee, they will be re-flighted into a higher handicap division. However, said player may NOT compete for tournament prizing.

CAN MY CLUB PRO VERIFY MY HANDICAP, AS MY CLUB DOES NOT HAVE ONE SUPPLIED BY AN ACCREDITED HANDICAP SOLUTIONS PROVIDER?
In such instances, the interested player may submit a written request from his/her Club Professional to Travel + Leisure Golf. Said request will be reviewed and verified with the Club Professional prior to any decision. If the Club Professional cannot be reached and/or validated, the request will be denied and the player must play in the first flight.

WHEN WILL YOU/I KNOW WHAT THE FLIGHTS WILL BE AND WHICH ONE I AM ASSIGNED TO?
Flights will not be assigned until at least 50% of the field is entered (36 players). At this time, preliminary flights will be posted to the tournament website at www.tlgolf.com/players. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter these flights up until the start of the first round on March 29, 2008.

I'D LIKE TO PARTICIPATE, BUT MY SPOUSE/TRAVELING COMPANION WILL NOT BE PLAYING IN THE TOURNAMENT, WHAT IS THE COST FOR THEM TO ATTEND AND WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH THAT RATE?
The non-golf guest fee is $1200. The non-golf guest fee will include lodging at Elbow Beach, double occupancy with a golfer participating in the tournament, breakfast and dinner daily with participating players, welcome reception and nightly 19th hole receptions, roundtrip ground transportation to/from the airport and access to common areas/amenities at the host hotel.

I AM ATTENDING THE EVENT WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE. CAN WE BE PAIRED TOGETHER?
Travel + Leisure Golf will do the best they can to pair traveling companions together as long as they are playing in the same flight. For the final round ONLY, players will be paired based on their 36-hole score to allow for contending players to compete head-to-head.

IF I PARTICIPATE WILL I BE FEATURED IN TRAVEL + LEISURE GOLF MAGAZINE?
All players will be asked to fill out a release form. The magazine will be taking pictures of the event for promotional purposes. There are, however, no current plans to cover the event for editorial purposes. It is possible the top finishers may be highlighted in a future issue of the magazine or on its web site.
