- A non-refundable deposit based on 25% of selected package price will be charged at time of booking.
- The remaining 75% will be charged 30 days prior to the arrival date. Within 30 days, the total package cost becomes non-refundable. Any cancellation within 30 days will forfeit the total package cost.
TOURNAMENT RULES
- Player must have an official USGA or recognized
golf association handicap to participate in a flight other than
the first flight. The first flight will be for the most skilled
players, most with a low single digit handicap. For players living
in winter climates, final 2007 handicaps should be provided for
all players. For those players living in year round golf climates,
the February 2008 handicap revision will be used.
- Fighting is defined as sub-dividing the players
into smaller groups, each with handicaps in a close range (example
– 9 to 12 Handicaps make up Flight X).
- Once flighted, players will compete on an
individual stroke play basis for 54 holes. Handicap strokes will
NOT apply to the “gross” score generated by each player,
for each 18-hole round (round 1 + round 2 + round 3 = 54 hole
tournament score). This format reduces the chance of inflated
handicaps being used to gain an unfair advantage. Winners will
be recognized in each flight. The exact number of flights will
be determined by the Tournament Committee based on the total number
of players and their handicap variances. If there are not enough
ladies entered or their handicaps are too diverse based on the
total number participating, ladies will compete from within each
flight on a gross basis – playing from forward tees.
- All tournament rounds will be governed by
USGA rules and any local rules will be communicated in prior to
the start of each round as determined by each host course and
the Tournament Committee. All format, scoring and rules decisions
will be made by the Tournament Committee, and all such decisions
will be final.
- Players will be asked to exchange cards at
the start of each round, and be responsible for scoring and governing
each other’s round. In any circumstance of doubt, players
will be allowed to invoke the “2 ball rule”, scoring
each ball and then presenting the players’ case to the Tournament
Committee at the conclusion of the round. Tournament staff will
be circulating throughout the course for assistance as well.
- Handicaps must be verified by USGA, GHIN or
other certified golf association. USGA or GHIN numbers must be
submitted online. If you do not belong to a certified golf association,
club print outs and/or scorecard histories must be signed by the
team pro and submitted to the tournament committee. Failure to
produce proper documentation will result in disqualification from
the Event. The Event tournament committee reserves all right to
review and adjust individual handicaps as necessary or change
the daily formats prior to the start of competition.
